Wedding Ceremonies

You’re special, you’re very special and unique and so should be your wedding ceremony when you make your personal vows to the one you love in the presence of your family and friends. It should be exactly as you want it, with everything you already dream about and maybe one or two things you didn’t know existed. A celebrant led wedding from Moments in Time Ceremonies could give you exactly that.

You have chosen the one you are to marry so you should be able to choose when, where and how you celebrate your union. You may have a specific location in mind, indoor, outdoor, beach; you may have some cultural, family or religious traditions you would like included; you may want a very traditional ceremony or something a little more off the wall – if we work together almost anything is possible.

You are free to decide exactly what you want included, readings, songs, poems, prayers, maybe your love story, messages from family or friends, whatever fits your personality and style. As an experienced celebrant, I have conducted over 1000 weddings, same sex and heterosexual,  I can help with what works and what may not but I'm always open to new ideas.

Let’s make this fun but also not lose sight of the importance and solemnity of the occasion – your wedding will be one of the most important days in your life and together we can make it memorable for all the right reasons.

How to progress

Why not start by arranging a free no obligation meeting, face to face (preferable), skype, FaceTime or Zoom so we can discuss your requirements and exchange ideas -  we can get to know each other and  you can see if I am the right celebrant for you before you make any commitment to book.   Following this meeting I provide a personal quote summarising our discussion and detailing the way forward.  I reserve your date for 10 days after the meeting - I only ever do one ceremony per day - giving you chance to think about what we discuss and speak with me again if you wish.  I hope you then choose me as your celebrant so we can dream together.

  How we work together

Once you have chosen Moments in Time Ceremonies I offer a complete ceremony service providing you with a ceremony that matches your style and personality as follows:-

  • Unlimited communication:- meetings in person (if practical), facetime or zoom; phone calls; email etc. to discuss and plan your ceremony in detail.
  • Advice and help with vows, readings, ceremony logistics, entrance/exit, positions, music etc.
  • Writing your love story from your personal reflections.
  • Advice on ceremony enhancements, including tying the knot, sand ceremony, loving cup, Unity candle, jumping the broom and many more. Inclusion of as many ceremony enhancements as you wish.
  • Unlimited drafts of your ceremony wording until it is exactly as you wish; unique and special, reflecting your values, beliefs and personality.
  • Help, support and encouragement throughout the journey.
  • Liaising with your wedding planner, venue and suppliers to help ensure all goes perfectly on the day.
  • Rehearsal before the great day.
  • Attending on the day well before the ceremony start time.
  • Officiating at the ceremony – the only one I will do that day.
  • Commemorative wedding certificate (not a legal document*) and copy of the ceremony in a keepsake folder.

The fee for wedding ceremony within an hour’s travel of north Hampshire is £600,  I also conduct ceremonies nationally and internationally subject to modest additional expenses.

*Legal issues
Currently the law in England and Wales requires the legal paperwork for marriage to be completed by a Local Authority Registrar or designated clergy.  Couples often arrange to have the legal formalities completed in a short civil ceremony in a Register Office a few days before their celebrant led wedding celebration. This can be very simple and inexpensive involving only the couple and two witnesses and is often referred to as a ‘jeans and T-shirt wedding’. No personal vows or rings need to be exchanged.
There is no need for the guests at your celebrant led ceremony to know it does not include the legal documentation. After all it is your commitment to each other expressed in your own unique way that creates your Moment in Time.
